Celebrating International Women’s Day by Recognizing the Achievements of Women

March 8 marks International Women’s Day—a global movement that celebrates the many achievements of women while advocating for a brighter future for all women and girls. This is a time to recognize the resilience and impact of women across every industry and walk of life. From business and education to healthcare, science, and family, women continue to shape the world through their leadership, innovation, and dedication.
Women wear countless hats—leaders, mentors, professionals, entrepreneurs, mothers, and friends. Many juggle careers and family life, breaking barriers in business while ensuring their children are ready for the day.
On International Women’s Day, we celebrate the innovation and leadership of women everywhere, and we honor the countless women who have made Melaleuca what it is today!
As part of this global celebration, Melaleuca: The Wellness Company is proud to highlight the ways we support women in their professional and personal journeys. For four decades, Melaleuca has helped women achieve success on their own terms, whether in corporate leadership roles or as independent entrepreneurs.
By providing meaningful career opportunities, workplace flexibility, and a business model that allows women to build financial independence, Melaleuca has fostered a culture where women don’t have to choose between their personal priorities and their professional aspirations.
This commitment has not gone unnoticed. In recognition of its dedication to women in the workplace, Melaleuca has been honored with multiple awards that highlight its people-first culture and its record of helping women succeed.
Recognized for Supporting Women
Empowering Women Award

In 2024, Melaleuca received the Empowering Women Award from the Idaho Business Review, which recognizes companies that create meaningful opportunities for women through hiring, mentoring, and promoting women into leadership roles.
Across many industries, companies are working to remove barriers and create meaningful opportunities for women. At Melaleuca, we feel honored to be recognized as part of this important movement, with policies and a family-friendly culture that support career mobility and flexible business pathways—allowing women to build fulfilling careers that align with their personal and family goals.
During the awards presentation, Idaho Business Review spokeswoman Autumn Kersey highlighted Melaleuca’s impact:
“Founded in 1985, Melaleuca: The Wellness Company is a $2 billion global company empowering female entrepreneurs. Recognized for supporting women’s careers, Melaleuca fosters an inclusive culture and was named one of America’s Best Employers for Women by Forbes.”
Melaleuca Chief Human Resources Officer Jamie Reynolds (then VP of Human Resources) accepted the award and expressed appreciation for the recognition while reinforcing Melaleuca’s dedication to its Team Members.
“We’re proud of the many talented, accomplished women in the Melaleuca family,” she said. “We have an inclusive spirit, a family-centered culture, and principled values that empower and recognize women. Our culture and business model attracts female entrepreneurs and people from all walks of life to be a part of Team Melaleuca.”
Susan B. Anthony Award
Melaleuca was also honored with the Susan B. Anthony Award, presented by the Alturas Institute, for its dedication to creating a workplace where women can thrive. This award recognizes organizations that have demonstrated exceptional efforts in supporting and advancing women’s careers.

Dr. David Adler, President of the Alturas Institute, commended Melaleuca’s initiatives in fostering a family-friendly work culture, promoting internal career growth, and providing resources for working mothers.
“Melaleuca is committed to supporting women in the workplace,” Adler said. “We look forward to seeing Melaleuca’s continued efforts in helping working women achieve their professional goals.”
This award specifically recognized Melaleuca’s efforts to support working mothers, including on-site childcare (Koala Kubs Academy), paid maternity leave, and flexible part-time work options that allow women to balance their responsibilities at home and in the workplace.
Forbes Best Employers for Women
Melaleuca has also earned a place among Forbes’ Best Employers for Women, an exclusive list of companies that excel in workplace culture, career advancement, and opportunities for women.
Melaleuca: A Pathway for Female Entrepreneurs
Beyond its corporate offices, Melaleuca has empowered thousands of women to become successful entrepreneurs. For four decades, the company has enabled women—many of them mothers—to build independent businesses that provide repeat income and flexibility.
Melaleuca has created more female entrepreneurs in the United States than almost any other American business.

One of the reasons so many women have built thriving Melaleuca businesses is that Melaleuca offers products that women love and trust. From Sei Bella cosmetics to Affinia personal care and Renew Lotion, Melaleuca provides everyday essentials that women share with their friends and family.
As part of this referral program, Melaleuca has paid over $7.5 billion in commissions to its Marketing Executives, the majority of whom are women. Many of these women have used their earnings to pay off debt, send their children to college, achieve homeownership, and support their families in many other ways. These Marketing Executives create networks of like-minded women that support each other and lift each other up to reach their goals.
Unlike traditional business models, Melaleuca allows women to build Melaleuca businesses at their own pace, work from home, and create financial stability while still prioritizing their families. For many, Melaleuca represents more than a paycheck—it’s a pathway to a better life.
Corporate Director 5 Ashley Olive, a mother of five children, shared how Melaleuca has changed her life:
“I have never been more present as a mother and as a wife,” she said. “Our referral business is helping us enjoy financial stability, and we’ve improved our social and mental wellness every day thanks to the great relationships we’ve made in our community.”
A Workplace Where Women Thrive
Melaleuca’s culture is built on growth, recognition, and long-term success. The company’s average tenure is roughly double the national average, reflecting its ability to develop and then retain top talent.
Melaleuca also stands out for its promote-from-within culture, with hundreds of internal promotions each year. In 2023 alone, 349 team members were promoted, with many of those promotions going to women who have built their careers at Melaleuca.
Additionally, Melaleuca’s Loyalty & Long-Term Contribution Bonus Program rewards Team Members for their years of service. Team Members receive financial bonuses at 5-year milestones:
- $5,000 at 5 years
- $10,000 at 10 years
- $15,000 at 15 years
- $20,000 net at 20 years
- Up to $35,000 at 35 years
Since the program’s inception, Melaleuca has paid over $39 million in longevity bonuses to loyal Team Members.
A Continued Commitment to Women’s Success
International Women’s Day is a reminder to us all that progress happens when women are supported and given the opportunities they deserve to reach their full potential, in whatever pursuit they choose. Around the world, women are stepping into leadership roles, building businesses, and redefining what success looks like. Whether through workplace benefits, career growth opportunities, or its powerful referral program that helps customers become entrepreneurs, The Wellness Company continues to be a champion for women at every stage of life.
